I have always believed that art should illicit an emotion. Joy, sorrow, love, happiness, introspection; even fear, disgust, or hurt. What makes us human is to feel.
My art is inspired by the good, the bad, and the ugly. The old masters, as well as contemporary painters. By the natural world, and by human nature. I work directly from life as much as possible.
Art is about our life experiences. It draws upon the beautiful and the not so beautiful. Art is a celebration of what it means to be human.
